Saturday we went to the park so Max could go on he swings and I gave him lunch there. It was so hot, a pool would have been nice. We came home so he could take a nap, then went to get snowballs in the afternoon. Max tasted vanilla and chocholate for the first time. I think he liked he vanilla better. We went out with Josh and Rachel (Avi's parents) on Saturday night to a great restuarant in Canton called Saute. I had never been there. Great food but we waited an hour and a half for our table. Its a good thing there was good conversation and drinks on the house since we were waiting so long! We were all talking about how lucky we are to have free babysitting. We never went out in VA beach unless our parents were there because we refuse to go out to dinner and spend money and then come home and have to give a kid $40. I know we will have to do it eventually, but for now, we love leaving him at Gigi and Pop pops!
Sunday we all went to breakfast at First Watch. It wasn't the best meal, mostly because Max has not been cooperating during meals. I am not used to this at all, I'm used to him eating anything and everything we put down in front of him. Yesterday he was just throwing his turkey on the floor and turning his head away from alot of what I was giving him. He did the same thing for dinner. It looks like he is showing a preference for sweeter things and snacks...maybe we shouldn't be letting him taste snowballs. Or maybe he is just teething which I think he is. He only has 1 tooth and I think a bunch of them are about to come in at the same time. Poor guy. Sunday afternoon while Max was taking a nap, my mom and I went to Sam's club and got a few things for his party and wrote down a few other things that I'll go back and get as it gets closer. I also got a new camera!! I thought Mark was going to kill me but he actually took it well. With the amount of money we have to spend in the next month I know we have to set our priorities, but my camera broke last week and not having one is not an option for me so it was something I had to get. I got a cute little pink one that works the same way as my old camera and I can even use my old memory card. I told him I saved by getting it at Sam's.
One thing I have not been able to get Max to do is clap, no matter how hard I try. I have been clapping at him since the day he was born and he just stares at me like "so, what do you want me to do?". Well last night in the bathtub he was really excited about something and started waving his arms, slapping them against his legs and then he brought his hands together and clapped! He did it a few more times too. Mark was there to witness it too. I was so excited I almost cried.

Yay Max!!! Congratulations on the clapping!! Soon they'll be running around and talking back to us and we won't be able to remember when they couldn't do things like clap, walk, etc. Scary!
