Party Preperation

A few months ago I was saying I wasn't going to go overboard with Max's birthday party because he won't know whats going on, we don't want to spend alot of money, etc. Well without giving away too many details, I'll just say I know that I have lost control and someone needs to stop me. You only have your first born turn one once right? With all the effort I have put into this party I hope Max enjoys it or at least doesn't cry or sleep through any of it. I'm having fun planning though and if anything, I'll probably get some cute pictures from the event. Monday and Tuesday I ran around doing stuff for his party all day. Max really is not a good shopper at all, if hes in any type of cart in any type of store he's either crying or eating. He throws anything I give him on the floor unless it is food so when I run out of puffs or graham crackers or whatever I have, thats when its time to leave the store with my screaming baby. I have gotten really good at running through stores, grabbing what I need and getting out of there. Are all babies bad shoppers or just boys?
