Max is getting back to his usual self, although there are parts of his personality starting to come through that make me kind of miss when he was younger! He's going through a whiney clingy stage (I hope its a stage) where he does that awful fake cry all the time and will do anything to get what he wants (usually the phone or remote). Its amazing that he has so many toys and got so many new ones for his birthday, yet he is still so much more interested in thins that he is not allowed to touch.
With the exception of having an ear infection, we have had a pretty normal week. Max has been taking the amoxicillin well and I think his ears feel totally better. It turns out his cousin Avi has an ear infection as well. Its really ironic because ear infections are not contagious. They are both turning 1 and this is the first ear infection for both of them. Max started having regular cow's milk during the day a few days ago. When we went to the doctor when he was sick on Monday he said I didn't have to wait until he actually turned 1 in a few days, I could just start it now. I wanted to start so that he will be used to it when he starts daycare. He didn't love it at first but he is getting used to it and yesterday he drank about 5 ounces of it plus he still has alot of other milk products like yogurt and cheese. We went to our last totland class yesterday. It made me sad to think I won't be able to do mommy and me classes anymore once I start work.
I can't believe how soon I'll be starting and that our move is coming up. All of the work on our house is underway and it already looks great. The painter is there and the floors are starting today. I can't wait to see it when its all done. We're going to VA Beach this weekend to pack up everything that is still in our apartment and move all the furniture out. The movers are coming on Monday. I'm nervous for the whole thing and I just wish I had a magic wand and I could fast forward through this whole moving process. My parents are coming with us so at least they will be able to help with Max or whatever else we need.
Just a random story...I met Hope, Rebecca, Lindsay and Jill at Ruth's Chris last night for a drink (Hope and Lindsay just happened to be in town visiting). There was a horrible storm yesterday and when we got to the bar around 9 it was literally 90 degrees in there and we learned that the electricity had been off for hours, only half of the lights were working and the air conditioning was off. We were obviously not planning on staying but the manager conned us into it buy buying us a round of drinks and promising that the electricity would be on in 15 minutes. When do you think the air actually came back on? About 2 hours later when we were ready to leave. We should have taken a before and after picture of all of us. My hair was straight when I went out and when we came home I looked like I had a perm. Anyway, I'm glad we stuck it out because it was fun to be out with the girls again. I aways enjoy being with old friends and realizing that no matter how much our lives change, there are some things will always be the same :) Good to see all of you girls!
