Our first 24 hours

Everything is going pretty well. Mallory just eats and sleeps for the most part. She seems to like to sleep during the day more than at night so I'm going to try to keep her up a little bit before bed tonight. Max was definitely confused yesterday and has been a little more clingy with me today. I think hes realizing that the baby just lays around and sleeps and he is the one who still gets most of the attention. He of course has his little tantrums and screams "no" alot but thats not really a new thing. I was happy that I was able to do his bedtime book and songs with him last night before he went to bed. I think that made him feel better about everything.

I think last night was good for a first night home. Max went to bed around 7:30 and slept through the night until 6 which is good for him. I fed Mallory around 9 and then went to sleep myself around 10. She woke up at 12 and I fed her again. She took a little longer to go back to sleep. Then she was up again at 3 and up again at 6. Each time, she slept for about 2 hours in between feedings and we were able to go back to sleep as well. So for me, that was a pretty good night sleep considering I was up every hour for the last few weeks.

She has been great today. Uncle Josh stopped by to meet Mallory and see Max. My parents were here for alot of the afternoon. We are definitely settling in and adjusting well. I'm hoping for an even better night tonight.
