Growth Spurt?

Mallory was born at 6 lbs 15 oz. When we left the hospital she was 6 lbs 8 oz (normal because they always lose weight in the first few days). We took her to the doctor when she was 5 days old and she was 6 lbs 12 oz. That was good because she was almost back to her birth weight. Well today I took her for her 2 week checkup and she was 7 lbs 14 oz!! That is almost a pound more than her birth weight. That's my girl! She is a really good eater but I find it hard to believe that she gained that much. She also measured at 21.5 inches and was 20.25 when she was born which also doesn't sound very accurate. Makes me think the nurse just didn't know what she was doing? Regardless, shes very healthy and couldn't be doing better at 2 weeks old! She had to get a heel prick and have blood drawn which was so sad. It seems kind of torturous the way they do it and have to keep squeezing her heel to get blood out. She was screaming. Here we are waiting for the doctor to come in:

The doctor does all these different things to check her strength and reflexes and everything. He put her on her stomach and she rolled over to her back! I don't think Max did that until he was like 4 months old (oy I'm already comparing who did what first) It was cheating a little because he had her arm under her a little bit but still, I think she must be advanced :)

I forgot to mention yesterday that her umbilical cord stump finally fell off. I would have taken a picture of her new belly button but its not very pretty yet and the doctor said there is still some stuff in there that needs to dry up. I have to put alcohol on it a few times a day to help it along.
