Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to my fellow 4 blog readers! I was asleep at 10:30 last night and missed all of the festivities. Honestly I was so happy to get a good night sleep. We are in Florida and we're here to relax not stay up late. Especially when I know theres the chance of Max waking up early. We went out to dinner at 6 and we were home before 8. I did wake up around 3:30 am and once I realized I slept through the whole ball dropping and everything I started thinking about all the things that happened in 2008. Actually I admit I was planning out this blog entry in the middle of the night. Mark and I always say that every year is different, it really has been for us since we got married. But I think 2008 takes the cake as far as how many things have changed for us.

In 2008...

My baby turned into a toddler
I was a stay at home mom for half of the year
We lived in an apartment in Virginia Beach
I did a music class with Max at the JCC in VB and made other baby and mommy friends
I was in a bookclub in VB
I joined facebook
I switched from thenest to momscorner (noone will get that except Liz)
My brother got engaged
We drove from Virginia Beach to Baltimore maybe 8 times.
Max learned to eat solids, sit, crawl, stand, walk, run and say words
I became a blogger (I have to start thinking of how I will celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the blog)
Mark got a new job and left his company that he had worked for for 7 years
We visited Bethany Beach 2 times and Jupiter Florida 2 times
We moved to Baltimore
Mark started his new job
We lived with my parents for 3.5 months
I did a playgroup and totland with Max
I got a job
We bought a house and renovated the whole place
Max started daycare
We moved into our house
I started working full time in the same school where I went to elementary school
I got pregnant
Camp Airy's bunk row was torn down and no longer exists
Max fell down a flight of steps (and was fine a few minutes later)
Mark's grandmother, Butsy, passed away
We easily read goodnight moon over 1000 times
Max had 3 ear infections
We learned all the tricks to surviving lunch or dinner in a restuarant with a toddler (although they only work sometimes)
Max had his first hair cut (probably 6 months overdue)
We went to 9 first birthday parties
We've had about 100 playdates
I wonder how many times I've been to Starbucks and Target this year?

I challenge anyone to come up with a list that includes as many life altering events in just on year. I just can't believe what can happen in 365 days. Heres to all of the good things that will happen for us and all of you in 2009!
