I'm changing my response....

For this entire pregnancy so far, when someone asks me how I'm feeling, I have said "I feel great". Starting this week (33+) the response has changed to "I'm ok". I'm not at the point where I'm miserable yet. I'm still getting enough sleep, I'm not in any horrible pain. But there are things that are making me feel like I'm definitely getting to the end. I have Braxton Hicks contractions all day long (they are practice contractions that don't really hurt, just an uncomfortable tight feeling). They get worse when I'm doing too much or when I've been on my feet all day. I also have these gross veins in my foot that my doctor said I could get support hose for (I'm sure). My stomach is getting so big that it feels like the skin is just going to pop open sometimes(but no stretch marks yet!). Its also almost impossible to hold Max while I'm standing up. There is just nowhere for him to fit comfortably on me and it hurts if he is on my belly. I can hold him while I'm sitting down, but there is not much room on my lap!

I'm also starting to think about all of the "what ifs" about labor and delivery and having a newborn. I thought I would be less scared this time but really I am more scared about different things. I think once you are a mother you realize how lucky it is to have a healthy child and to think about how lucky it is to have 2...its just hard to not be a little scared. But I'm sure everything will be fine :)

I wonder when I will change my response to miserable? I'm thinking around 37 weeks? Thats not bad. By that point the end is right around the corner.

You should be proud... my "I'm great" lasted from weeks 4-7, when no one knew I was pregnant. By week 8, my response changed to "I'm miserable" and pretty much stayed there through week 40.2. Just think, soon you'll be done and you'll have another baby as incredible as Max to show for it!

I think you are the most amazing pregnant person. You look amazing! Even though you "think" you complain. I think you have been great the whole time. I am so proud of you for workng full time with a toddler and a house to take care of. We love being with Max and we are so excited for our new grandchild!
