A busy busy weekend

Friday night we had the cleaning people here which was desperately needed. They were here until like 9:00 at night so I felt bad for them but my house was very clean! Saturday was Missy's shower. Everything went really well!

I can't believe their wedding is so soon. My in-laws were in town last night so we ate dinner at home with them and I ended up ordering the stroller online. I went with the Baby Jogger City Mini Double and now I'm already having regrets. Everyone loves this stroller but my main thing is that I wanted something that would fit the carseat. Well this does work with the carseat but you have to buy this extra part that is like $90 and I've heard bad things about it like its just annoying to use and not practical. I knew that no matter what decision I made I would have regrets. There is no perfect stroller but I think this comes pretty close. I'm sure I will like it. It should be here in a few days.

Last night was my first real bout with nesting. I was up until 12:00 putting the bassinet together and taking out blankets, towels and burp cloths that will need to be washed. I got in bed around midnight and then Max started crying. He woke up every 2 hours after that and was just crying and seemed uncomfortable. We gave him tylenol, let him lay in our bed, rocked him, etc. He seemed like he was either sick or teething or something. So we got no sleep. I was also tossing and turning thinking about the stupid stroller and whether I made the right decision. How crazy am I?

We were exhausted this morning after only getting a few hours of sleep. Max went to Gigi and Poppops around 10. I had Jenn's 30th birthday party which I could only stop by at for a little while because we had Michael and Whitney's "cousin's brunch". I met Mark there. It was really nice to see everyone and we got to hang out with Paul and Nissa. Here are Nissa and I at 9 months and 7 months:

And Mark and I in front of the harbor:

Mark and I were supposed to go to Babies R Us this afternoon to get the rest of the things we need but of course Mark backed out of it and I was honestly too tired too. So I just ordered everything online...the mattress, a mattress pad, a changing pad,and a travel crib sheet (for the bassinet). So that should all be here this week! I emailed the guy who installs car seats so we'll see if we can go to him this week. We're making progress! What else do I need to do??

I met Gigi and Max at Starbucks, went to Trader Joes to get some things for the week, and came home. Max seems better so we'll see how the night goes. I gave him motrin just in case. The weekend had to end with just one more glitch of course...I made pizza and put it in the oven and a half hour later it was still cold. Our oven is not working. Lovely. Its always something!
