I apologize

Sorry I have been a bad blogger lately. I guess I've been busy trying to get myself mentally and physically prepared for what will soon be our new life! So what have I done...not that much! The baby's room has a crib that is put together and a dresser that is still in 2 boxes, but at least its in the room. I showed my parents where all the blankets and newborn clothes are so they can wash them while I'm in the hospital. I'm trying to wrap up things at work but its hard since I'm leaving before the end of the year. I've decided that I'm not going to do all of the "final" stuff like putting the kids files away for the summer and everything because I can't do that until I am completely done and I won't be completely done until I go into labor. I'm hoping it won't be hard to stop in one day while I'm on leave and get that all taken care of. I'm just trying to do all of the report writing and things that can't be done while I'm not there taken care of before I leave because I will feel bad if its not finished.

Stuff that still needs to be done...the infant carseat has to be installed. We need a mattress. I want the double stroller and a white rocking chair. All of that can be taken care of within the next 1-2 weeks so hopefully it will be done before I have the baby! I would also like to finish the baby blanket I'm knitting which has taken me about 8 months to do 3/4 of it.

Just a side note/story...one of the schools I work in is our neighborhood school, where Max will go if we still live here. Its literally down the street from our house. I am only there 1.5 days a week but the kindergarten registration was yesterday and I was in charge of doing a speech/language screening for every single child who will be in kindergarten there next year. It was a very long day but I got through it. I left there and went to pick Max up from daycare and ran into one of the parents with their child who I had screened that day picking up their kid from daycare. Then I came home and was taking Max out for a walk and saw another family sitting outside on their deck and they were like "we saw you at kindergarten round up today". They live on our street and I had never met them! Then a few hours later I went to pick up food for Mark and I last night and sitting at one of the tables was another couple who's child I had screened that day! Moral of the story is...if you work in Pikesville and live in Pikesville, there is no way you can ever really leave work. Its a good thing I'm someone who doesn't mind things like that. Fine...I secretly love things like that! Really though...running into 3 different sets of people at three different times all who I met that same day? Where else does that happen?
