I'm sorry Carrie, I have just had a really busy few days and it unfortunately is not going to slow down for a while. But I have a minute to give to my loyal fans so here it is....We went to Salisbury for the weekend. Mark had to go there to do a few things for work so it was a good time for us to spend the weekend at his parents house. we haven't been there in so long. When we lived in VA Beach, we would stop there on our way to Baltimore because it was exactly halfway. We would basically feed Max and leave. So it was nice to actually spend some time there. Everything was great, but of course there was a near tragic experience. I don't think you can have a whole weekend with a toddler without one of these. Max was eating dinner on Saturday night, in the space saver high chair (its a high chair that goes on a chair). I was with him and he was pulled up to the table without the tray. He was just eating off the table. I got up for a minute to get his sippy cup. I was at the sink and turned around and saw Max pushing himself away from the table and tilting backward. I ran back over screaming NONONO but he was already falling. I watched the whole thing in slow motion. So he was strapped into the highchair that was attached to the chair that was falling backward to the floor. I was thinking that he was going to die because his head was going straight toward the stone tile floor. It ended up that he fell into the wall and then kind of slid to the floor, so it wasn't a very bad impact. We're actually not even sure if he hit his head at all. But he was pretty shaken up and it was very scary to see. There was a hole in the wall and we don't know if it was from his head or the chair or what. Either way he didn't have any bumps or bruises and seemed fine shortly ever. Never a dull moment! This child has had quite a few near death experiences in his short life. I guess none of them are truly near death but they all have the possibility of him getting seriously injured and he luckily has walked away from each incident without any major damage (thank god, knock on wood). I guess that is what being a toddler is about.
We got home yesterday and both realized that we have such a busy few weeks coming up. I could cry thinking about it. This whole year has felt like a breeze compared to previous school jobs I've had. Not that its easy, its just that all the work I have to do usually fits into the school day. Not anymore. If it means anything to anyone reading this, I have 10 IEP meetings in the next 10 days. They are mostly for speech only kids which means that I have alot of paperwork and preperation to do for each one. Plus, I see kids for therapy all day long so there isn't really time to do it while I'm at work except for a few set aside times that I have each week but its not enough anymore. Basically the only time I have to do stuff is after Max goes to bed and I finish doing everything I need to do like shower, laundry, clean up and everything. So basically its going to be a long 2 weeks. Wish me luck.
Here I am tonight at 28 weeks:

OMG I cannot believe how pregnant you are! Are you going to have 3 kids before I even have one? That is scary about Max's near death experience. When my sister was an baby she was in a high chair and I saw it fall backwards and in slow motion I ran behind it and caught her head in my hand seconds before her head hit the floor. so I basically saved her life. Good luck with your busy week, I am ridiculously jealous.
you look soo good!!
