The Quarry

When I was growing up all I remember about the Quarry was sometimes during class at Pikesville High we would hear a big boom and the teachers would say "its just the quarry". Its really close to the high school. Well some genius decided to turn the quarry into a huge lake over the last few years and build stores, restaurants, office space, houses and condos all around it. The water is slowly but surely filling up and it is going to be really beautiful when its done. Its a great place to walk and lots of people we know have been buying houses there. 2 of my favorites...Fresh Market and Starbucks are there so you know Max and I will be taking lots of walks there. We're hoping to get a house close by. I have a feeling its going to be the hangout when Max is in high school. Maybe kids will be getting kicked out for loitering there instead of hanging out at 7-11. We met Lauren and Ava there for lunch and a walk last week. I can just see Max and Ava looking at these pictures in 15 years and saying, look at the quarry before it was all filled with water, thats so weird that it used to not be filled. AND look how young and cute our moms were!
