Josh and Ashley

I met Josh at work almost 2 years ago. Hes an Occupational Therapist and I had met him and talked to him a few times when I started work in September 06. We were at a training one day in October and he looked at me and said "Kim are you Jewish?". When I said yes, he said "I knew it! I have the best Jewdar ever!". Remember this isn't Pikesville...you don't randomly run into a Jewish person working in Norfolk every day so it was kind of exciting. Well ever since we found that connection we obviously bonded and became good friends. His wife Ashley was pregnant at the time and had their daughter Sonya a few months later. Then I was pregnant and Josh and Ashley became a wealth of information for us. Whether it was emailing my ultrasound pictures to them, talking about where to do maternity pictures, knowing which pediatrician to use or just advice on life in Virginia Beach in general, they were our go-to people. Josh and I had fun working together and even co-treated a few patients. Once Max was born in August, they became even more helpful. They knew everything there was to know about feeding, sleeping, and life with a newborn. They were always inviting us to do things with them...having us over for dinner, having us at their synagogue, and having picnics at the park. I always say they are the most active family...they are always out and about doing things while Mark and I are home watching TV! We also went to Sesame Street Live with them in November. Ashley invited me to join her bookclub (the one where you don't have to read the book, you just go out to dinner) and that was another way I got to meet other great girls who I have become friends with. We've been out to dinner with them several times and had fun with them at the Purim party at the JCC. This past weekend Max and I joined them for a PJ Shabbat at their synagogue on Friday night, then we all went to the zoo yesterday morning. Then they all came over to our apartment for Pizza last night. Needless to say, they helped so much with our adjustment to living here over the past few years and made alot of things much easier for us. They are a wonderful family and we are truly going to miss them. Luckily they have family in Baltimore and we are hoping they come and visit often! Here are some pictures of some of our get togethers. Thanks for everything Josh and Ashley!

Here we are at a picnic, Max is almost 3 months, Sonya is around 11 months:

Here we are at Sesame Street Live a few weeks later
