Rosh Hashana

Happy New Year! We had a nice holiday...Friday night we went to Mark's family's dinner downtown. It was nice to see everyone but of course difficult to be there with both kids. Even when they are being "good" its still never a relaxing time. I feel like I don't even taste my food, I just fill up a plate and scarf it down in between the feeding and changing and holding and chasing. Here is a picture of Max with Mark and Mike. Doesn't Max look like Mike?

Saturday morning we went to the children's service at our shul. We were late and it was so hot and crowded and we only made it through about 20 minutes of the "service". It was really just singing and stories. I have talked to some of my friends who have kids the same age as Max and they take their kids into the regular service. I cannot even imagine this occurring in my family for at least another 10 years. If Max was ever able to go to a quiet room and stay quiet and still for more than 30 seconds I would pass out from shock.

After that we went to brunch with my family which we always do after services on Rosh Hashana. Look at Max and Avi last year:

and this year:

Avi also just became a big brother over the weekend to Tessa Yael! Congrats :)

Mallory was a good girl as usual

That night we had dinner at Gigi and Poppops with my family and Mark's family. It was nice and I have learned to give Max dinner before we go to something like that so he can just do his own thing and I don't have to worry about force feeding him when all he wants to do is run around.
