Mallory is 4 months old already! I can't begin to explain how different the first 4 months of her life has been compared to the first 4 months of Max's life. Not in a better or worse way, just so different. A good example is that I'm pretty sure by this time Max could roll from his front to his back and I would sit on the floor with him every day and wait for him to do it because I was scared he wasn't going to reach this milestone in time. Well with Mallory...I can count on one hand the amount of times I have given her tummy time, I have no idea when she is supposed to be able to roll all the way over and I'm not in the least bit concerned. For all I know, she may have even done it when I wasn't looking. Or during one of the many times I have had to leave her laying on the floor by herself while I deal with one of Max's issues. Anyway here are some things I do know about her.
At 4 months old Mallory:
-Goes to sleep between 7 and 8, wakes up once to eat around 2 (on a good night) and sleeps until 8 when I wake her to feed her before I go to work
-Is not on a strict nap schedule but usually does take a short morning nap (about 2 hours after she wakes up) then a longer middle of the day nap and then maybe a cat nap in the evening.
-Has never tasted anything but breastmilk, infant tylenol and amoxicillin.
-She is going for her 4 month appointment tomorrow so I don't know her stats yet but she seems long and lean to me.
-Is so smiley and started laughing more
-Takes 5 oz in a bottle when I go to work
-Still eats about every 3 hours during the day, sometimes more sometimes less.
-Sometimes spits up alot but doesn't seem to mind
-Likes the exersaucer (when Max isn't shaking it or pushing it over)
-Will sit in the bumbo seat for a while
-Likes to look at the TV but we are trying to avoid it
-Sucks on her hands and sometimes the same fingers as Max used
-Rolls to her side alot in her crib
-Is still in general a very easy going baby
-Takes a binky to relax but usually spits it out
-Lifts her head up when shes laying on her back as if she wants to sit up.
-Likes standing up (with us supporting her obviously)
She is actually sick right now with a cold. I took her to the doctor and its not an ear infection yet. She is still in pretty good spirits though as you can see here. Sorry I am using a weird annoying voice to say "I love you". It was making her laugh so I continued:
