First day

It was not bad at all! Max had a normal night/morning and I left for work around 7:30. Today was an orientation day so it was earlier than I will normally have to go to work. I didn't want Max to be there for the whole day right away so my parents took him to daycare around 10:30, after his first nap. He was a little confused, but not sad. He played, ate lunch and took at nap from 1:30 until 3. I got there around 3:30 and he was happy as could be. He did great. My day was ok. It was long and I missed Max but it was very informative and I think it will be a good year. Everyone was very nice and the support system seems great. If I am able to get Max before 4:00 every day like I did today, it still feels like there is a good amount of time to be with him and run around like I always do. We came home and I gave him a snack, we met my mom for coffee and I went to our house to see how the paint job is coming along. I even stopped at Rebecca's house to see her and Ethan since I saw them playing outside. I'm feeling optimistic about the whole thing. We made it through the first day!
