Playing at the water table
And its not always a water table. We've gotten creative in our neighborhood...big buckets of water, treasure hunts in a bowl of rice, water in a spray bottle to "wash" the windows and "paint" the houses. Anything to keep these kids busy in the heat!
Max is finally starting to play with other kids rather than just playing alone or taking their toys, bossing them around, hitting, shoving, etc. Its so nice to see him having a conversation with another kid his age and actually interacting. And having our neighbors come over to ask if Max is going to come outside. Its so cute.
Ice cream
He got vanilla with reeses pieces in it but he couldn't see past the jars of candy at maggie moos and kept saying that he wanted a "treat". He didn't get the whole concept of eating the candy within the ice cream. So I ended up taking the ice cream home and getting him just a cup of candy (which luckily they gave me for free)
This one is definitley my child
We are lucky to have lots of public playgrounds around so we've been going to some of those too.
I'm working this summer but only in the mornings so I'm hoping I can keep up the energy and do some fun things with the kiddies in the afternoon. I have to keep reminding myself that we spend 6 months of the year trapped indoors.
