Could my stomach be any bigger? Believe it or not there was one picture that I deleted immediately because the angle made my stomach look so enormous I couldn't even look at it. Here's hoping Max has a better night tonight and feels better in the morning!

So sick
Max had a cold last week. It was bad but he didn't have a fever and I actually took him to get his ears checked a week ago and he was fine. Yesterday evening he was so cranky, even more than usual and we knew something was up with him. He woke up at 10 pm and wouldn't stop crying. We called the doctor and they called us back at 11:30 last night and said to give him tylenol and try to wait it out until the morning. He woke up a few more times during the night but it didn't seem serious enough to go to the emergency room or anything. We were thinking it was a stomach ache or an ear infection. So this morning we called the "early sick line" and couldn't get through for the whole morning. I went to work and Mark kept calling the sick line and the regular line and never got through! I'm sorry but that is completely ridiculous and I have been saying for a while that I wanted to switch doctor's offices and now I want to even more. I mean I understand alot of kids are sick but come on. So Mark just took him in without an appointment and someone saw him. He had a sore throat, his ears were red but not infected and he had a 102.5 temperature! Poor baby!! He prescribed an antibiotic to prevent it from turning into strep or anything else. I left work around lunch time and stopped at the pharmacy to get his medicine. I also got alot of supplies that we realized we didn't have last night (a thermometer, infant motrin, pedialyte, infant gas drops, parents should always have these!). I also picked up California Tortilla for Mark and I mmmmm). Max was sleeping when I got home and he was a mess when he woke up. I gave him the motrin and the antibiotic and he started acting a little better but mostly he just wanted to be held. He took another nap from like 3:30 to 5:30 and when he woke up from that nap he was all sweaty and so hot. He was acting like he was paralyzed it was really scary. He was probably just achy from having a fever :(. We cuddled on the couch for the rest of the night until he went to bed. He didn't want to eat much but he had a small dinner and some pedialyte. I felt so bad for him. I am also sick with a bad cold and Mark has a cold too. We are all a mess. Not to mention this is the busiest week for Mark ever and I'm so busy at work too. It has just been a rough week and it needs to be over. Actually it needs to be spring already! Winter is horrible and long and never ending. Anyway, its miserable to see a baby feel so sick but one thing I like about it is the cuddling. He never sits still for this long anymore...
