I'm exhausted

I think I need to slow down on the weekends a little bit because I am so tired. Friday night we didn't do anything. Saturday I took Max all the way to New Jersey for Parker's second birthday party. I haven't seen Dayna or Gillian or any of the kids since the summer and I haven't met either of their new baby girls.Of course on the morning of the party, Gillian got a bad migraine and couldn't come. She sent her husband with the twins though so we got to see them at least. It was nice to see everyone but of course I spent most of the time chasing Max around like I always do at a birthday party. He was about 5-6 months younger than alot of the babies there since most of them are 2 or turning 2 now. Its really a big difference. They were just a little bit more interested in sitting still and participating in the activity than Max was. I realized that since Max looks alot older than he is, people expect more out of him. Even I do. I feel bad for him because people don't realize hes a baby. The party was at a gym and he had alot of fun but I was really worn out after being there for 2 hours. We were home by 4 which was good. Here are Hannah, Noah and Max hanging out. I didn't get any pictures of the birthday boy.

Today I met my parents for lunch. The waitress gave Max a cookie for being a good boy. He likes to feed me:

I made a list of things I need before the baby is born. It includes a car, a crib, dresser and other furniture for the baby's room and stuff for the basement. I thought I could make a dent in the list by at least getting some shelves for toys in the basement at Target. I went there with my mom while Pop pop took Max to their house. I was all motivated to get something I need and what did I come home with?

A bean bag chair!! No it wasn't on my list and yes we could have done without it but I thought he would love it and I thought we needed one more thing to promote children under 2 watching tv. To people that haven't let their kid watch tv yet, that is awesome but I don't know how you do it! Baby Einstein was our lifesaver starting when Max was like 9 weeks old. It was sometimes the only way to get him to stop crying. And he hasn't stopped watching it since. Now its more something that he just watches while he is playing with other things and while he is pressing the buttons on the tv and turning it on and off. Anyway, I hope he uses it and I hope it keeps him still while hes watching instead of breaking the tv every day. I'm still in need of everything that I was in need of this morning. I am going to order a crib and dresser within the next 2 weeks. Thats a start.
