That picture was taken in the middle of her first night after a feeding. I remember just clicking away in the dark trying to get a good one but she would flinch or blink from the flash every time. I'm sure right after that we called the nursery and said "Mallory is ready to come back". haha I swear I barely saw her until I left the hospital. I just remember being so happy and really enjoying my hospital stay, not wanting it it end which sounds completley ridiculous. I just feel like that is the most special and exciting time in the world. It's such a high to get through labor and have this beautiful healthy baby that you get to keep! Plus I enjoy having people bring me a tray of food in my bed every few hours and checking on me just to see if I need more ice or some more pillows. I'd do it all again but that is a conversation for another day-like in 5 years.
Anyway, at 18 months, Mallory
-loves hugging-if she has been playing for a while or doing her own thing, she'll come over and randomly hug me or Mark just because she wants a hug. Its so sweet.
-loves elmo-and sings lalala...elmo!
-follows alot of directions and things during songs-clap your hands stomp your feet, touch your head, etc.
-has become very dramatic and will throw herself down on the floor and have a little mini-tantrum. But its funny, the second time around its kind of cute rather than upsetting.
-still loves eating and still makes humming noises throughout most of the meal
-can't sleep without her binky AND her hippo blanky-which was actually misplaced and is still missing and I had to order another one! She was cuddling with a pair of pink velour sweatpants for a few days while we didn't have it!
-Wears a size 6 diaper (ok fine she really needs a 5 but wears a 6 because I'm lazy and we have an excess of size 6 diapers in our house!)
-Needs to wear her hair up or she can't see.
-Runs allover the place and is starting to really climb on things and get into everything
I can't think of anything else that she didn't do at 17 months but in general, shes growing up. I can't believe when Max was 18 months old, I was 6 months pregnant.
Off to get the big boy to bed...goodnight!

Hahaha. I remember when Mallory didn't walk yet and you said she would roll down the aisle at her wedding. I wish!
