Since the summer is winding down I'm trying to get Mallory in all of her cute outfits she has that might not fit next summer. One of them was my dress from when I was a baby. My grandmother bought it in Israel and I wore it to my first birthday party. I had no reason to dress Mallory up (other than she is a girl and every day is allowed to be dress up day) but I put her in it anyway just to be a model.

Here I am in the same dress

Max had a little cold last week. Mallory has had it for the last few days. Now I have it. Not fun. Even worse than not being able to breathe is not being able to sleep. I am one of the lucky people who has an adverse effect to things like nyquil and other night time cold medicines. I swear I'm up all night when I take them. Seriously, it's worse than not being able to breathe. It's kind of like being able to breathe a little better but only being half asleep and having weird dreams and tossing and turning and mind racing all. night. long.
So I feel like I have been in a cave for the whole weekend and it was also rainy and gross out so I don't have much to report. I'm looking forward to feeling better tomorrow and getting back into our normal routine (until that ends next week when school starts!!) We did have some fun with a playdough ice cream maker in the basement today. I have a few things Max got for his birthday that I'm saving for rainy days like this and eventually snowdays. It's fun to bring out things he doesn't know we already had!
Every day now I wake up and say today is the day I'm making Max wear underwear all day. And it just never happens. I don't fell well or it's raining or he's having a bad day, or I can't stay home all day...there is always an excuse. We've still got a while until the 3 and 1/2 average that our pediatrician told us about. I'm just ready and I know he can do it. It's just a matter of time and effort. I will say that the little guy is making leaps and bounds in other ways (even made it through the night last night without coming into our bed!) and to think about who he was a year ago and who he is now is just amazing. He's not going to go to kindergarten in diapers so sometime between now and then, it will happen.
Before I forget...at 15 months, Mallory:
-walks/runs like a toddler, no more falling down or balancing herself first
-still sleeps with her binky and would have it in her mouth all day if I let her
-still drinks milk out of a bottle (oops is this going to be an issue in a year?)
-imitates alot of words...gigi, max, mallory, doggie, bye bye, hi, and really anything you tell her to say, she'll say it in her own way.
-loves ring around the rosie and all fall down
-loves Barney and sesame street
-LOVES playing basketball
-eats well and still makes moaning noises throughout each meal
-loves being outside
-goes up the steps by herself
-does how old is Mallory, How big is Mallory and where's your nose
-will give something to someone when you tell her "give this to poppop", etc
-carries around her baby and her blanky
-plays peekaboo
-reads books (looks through them and talks like shes reading)
-has 1/2 of 1 tooth THATS IT, not even a whole tooth in there yet
-sleeps about 7:30 to 6:30 (or whenever Max wakes her up)
-can do a shape sorter with only a little help
-loves playing in the basement
-loves coloring with the water marker on the elmo board
-wants to do whatever Max does
-likes playing with the dishwasher/cabinet doors/anything else that opens and closes
-is getting really long hair that kind of flips out at the bottom. It's so cute.
Here she is on her 15 month birthday. I took her out to run some errands even though she didn't feel well and neither did I. Then we stopped at the Library and she had fun in the toddler area
Like my braid? Its my too hot and humid to straighten-I am a mom with 2 kids-braids are in style anyway-new look :)
And a few other cute ones from this week
