What have I been doing all week?

Hmmm...Monday I went to the grocery store and went to visit Nissa and new baby cousin Adley. Mallory looked big for the first time:

He is so cute and they are doing great!

Tuesday I went to Babies R Us and Michaels to get some things to finish decorating Mallory's room. It looks great and I only need a few more things before it is completely finished.

Wednesday I decided to take a walk all the way to the Quarry with Mallory. It is really far! About 1.5 miles each way and very hilly. I left my house around 8:15 am and didn't get back until after 10. I did stop to talk to a few people on the way and also rewarded myself with a grande vanilla coffee frappacino when I got there so it wasn't really 2 hours of walking but it was a 2 hour trip. Mallory enjoyed it. We also went to the Doctor for her 2 month appointment. She is doing great...11 pounds, 10 oz and 22.5 inches long. 60th%ile for both. She got some shots and it was sad. I'll do her 2 month update later.

Today we went out to lunch at Ciao with Tracee and Leo. Leo and Mallory are about a week apart and this was their first date. Of course the mommies had plenty to talk about between the toddlers and the new babies. Lots of topics to cover!

Other things going on...
-Max made it to the 2 week mark with his cast still on which is what we needed to do. I'm going to call tomorrow to see if it can come off next week.
-Max is not having a problem going to sleep in the big boy bed but I find him sleeping on the floor in the middle of the night. He doesn't get hurt but its just really sad so I ordered a generic toddler bed rail even though the place where I got there crib told me not to. Max obviously needs it and he shouldn't be sleeping on the floor. It should be here on Monday.
-If Max was in a contest to see what person could wake up at 5:30 am on the dot with the most consistency without using an alarm clock he would win.
-Remember my $500 double stroller that I spent my entire pregnancy debating over? Well one of the buckles that would be used to strap Mallory in is broken and I have never even used that part of the stroller. They sent me a new part and it is impossible to put on. I called to ask them and they told me I have to un-stitch and re-stitch the strap in order to get it on/off. I'm sure I should have to do that with a $500 stroller. I bought a seam ripper today at Target. I'm sure I know how to use it.
-We hired a nanny to start when I go back to work. I am really happy with the person we found and I think she is going to be great for both kids. Max will also be at 2 year old program a few days a week. Hopefully everything will work out.
-I can't believe how quickly maternity leave goes by, especially in the summer. What have I been doing for the last 9 weeks?
-Organizing a system for pictures is very stressful when you have 2 kids. It was much easier for our parents when you just take the pictures, go get them developed and put them in an album. Now there are too many options. You have so many pictures to choose from and you have them on your camera, on your computer, in an album, on a cd, on facebook, and blogs and everything else. Do you keep ordering the pictures for albums even though everything is online? Do you make a fancy book on shutterfly? How often? Do you organize it by callendar year? Like one album for 2009? Or do you organize it by kid like Max's second year and Mallory's first year. But in Mallory's first year book, would I not include pictures of Max? Its just too much to think about. Plus I feel like its so repetitive. As it is I have to update things on here, and on facebook, and still add things to the baby books once in a while and then every month I order pictures to put in the regular albums. See, isn't it stressful?
-I don't think there will ever be a time in my life where I don't have thankyou notes to write.
