Rainforest Cafe and Tiny Town

We went to Towson Mall today and Uncle Josh came all the way from DC to meet us for lunch. Max had been to Rainforst cafe before with my parents but we had never been with him. It was perfect because its so loud in there so even if Max was screaming noone would care. There is a "thunderstorm" every 30 minutes with flashing lights and thunder and monkeys dancing around and lots of other things to look at. Max liked looking at the fish tanks and the water fall. At one point he was running around the place. I didn't like it at the time but he came home and took a 2 hour nap so I guess that makes it worth it. Uncle Josh gave Max his Hanukkah present, a fun shape sorter/singing cookie jar. He loves it. We stopped at "tiny town" which is the new play area at Towson Mall. I wasn't that impressed but Max was. Max has been taking 2 naps a day every day that I've been off. He takes one nap at daycare usually from around 10:30 to 12:30 and then he only sometimes takes a short later power nap when we get home around 4. They are trying to push the nap later and later at daycare but it doesn't really work because hes exhausted by 10. Its just so much better for me if he takes a morning and afternoon nap when we are home. Otherwise my day is ruined with a 11-1:00 nap. Today he slept from 9:15-11:00 and again from around 3:00 to 5! He obviously still needs both naps because he is a cranky boy before them. I guess I'll just follow his lead and eventually he'll permanently only take one nap. I just don't know when that will ever happen. Hes always pretty tired after being up 3-4 hours during the day. Alot of toddlers are down to one nap when they turn one but not this one. I guess I should appreciate the daytime sleeping while it lasts.
