Who wouldn't work in a school?

Fine its not the most money I could be getting paid and fine some days are not easy. BUT I've been working for almost 2 months now and it feels like there haven't been any full weeks of school. These days off come out of nowhere. I didn't even know we had one this week. There is a random professional day this Friday even though we had a day off 2 weeks ago for Rosh Hashana and a day off last week for Yom Kippur. I worked in a hospital in Virginia and all of my friends there would get so excited about this one day every 6 months that we had a "retreat". The retreat was a day when you got to cancel all of your patients and go to the main hospital and sit in seminars all day. I guess that was their form of a professional day. I was like are you guys kidding? Its one day and its not even really a day off. In a school you get the summer off and a day here and there all the time. I guess everyone else just doesn't know what they are missing. Teachers don't know how good they have it! Now that I have done both, I think I'll be sticking to the schools for a while.

Nothing gives me greater pleasure than when you blog. I am jealous of your job. Mine consists of doing nothing all day. I'm glad you are enjoying your job but am really missing IMing with you all day. Not fair.

Ditto the IM'ing! (though it's better for my work not to be doing it). If the lawyer thing doesn't pan out, I'm totally becoming a teacher.
