Remember I used to be a blogger?

Am I still? I think I am, life has just been too crazy and I literally do not have the time. Or maybe I do have the time but it has just gotten harder to share stories that are completely blog worthy or appropriate or I don't know. I'll just blame it on being busy. Let's do a 10 things on my mind just for fun...

1. I had the Thanksgiving Lunch at my school today and it was worth the wait. My Styrofoam tray was filled to the brim and I actually ran out of compartments to put things in so some items were sitting on top of other items. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, sour kraut, string beans, a bun with butter, and a little plastic cup with a square of cranberry sauce. And yeah I cut in front of about 30 kids because I could. Whatever, I waited when I was a kid (the 3 times total that I bought lunch in my life) and now I have priority services.

2. Daylight savings time needs to be renamed Worst Idea Ever in history. My kids have been a mess ever since. And BOTH of them fell asleep in the car at 6:15 tonight. See you at 3 am.

3. There are things that you deal with as a parent that I just never really thought about or knew about until I had kids. It is hard. Noone told me!!

4. I am so proud of my kids no matter what other people tell me or what I think or say sometimes.

I mean really, they are cute, fun, healthy, smart, independent, and unique kids and I am lucky to be their mom. Plus they both have really good hair :) which leads me to...

5. I made all of the bows in the middle column

And I have made about 20 more as gifts for other people. Kind of obsessed but not enough to do it for money.

6. Thank god for the IPad (or thank Steve Jobs). Really, its just an amazing invention-more so as a learning tool than anything else. Plus it allows me to get through the grocery store with a kid in the cart.

7. Mallory has a new Dora obsession and I LOVE that she loves her. Not only does each episode end with a catchy tune that makes us get up and dance "we did it, we did it, we did it horray!!" but I also feel like that is another step in the transition from toddler to little girl obsessions. First Elmo, then Dora, then Disney Princesses?? I can only hope in a year or so we'll be singing "look at this stuff...isn't it neat?" That's for you Carrie ;)

8. Max has somehow figured out a way to make it so that I am physically unable to punish him or discipline him. I don't know how he even does it but no matter what I say, for example "Max, can you just not smash her head like that" he turns it right around on me and says something like "don't ever say that to me again...if you ever do that again I am going to take your iphone and your wine and take it away from you and put you in your room and you'll go right back to jail!! Okay??" "Um, ok....I won't bother you again sir" (don't worry, he spends some time in his own little "jail" after a response like that)

9. We finally experienced a hayride with everyone actually sitting and enjoying. Only took 4 years to get to this point. It was amazing.

10. Mark and I have not changed at all in 7 years.

All I'm saying is I cropped the second picture above the waist for a reason.
