That girl is poison!

Remember that song?

I called Poison control for the first (surprisingly) time last night because my daughter decided to drink ALOT of contact lens solution. She has had tastes here and there but this time, she was chugging it and I found her drinking it and didn't know how long she had had it. She seemed to be thoroughly enjoying it though. So I called, and it was a very nice calm phone call because thank gog it was a "non-toxic" ingestion. Contact lens solution is basically just purified water, so if your child ever does this, I saved you a phone call. And no, I don't have the number posted on the fridge in my house. I quickly googled it. Anyway, the girl loves to eat, and apparently it doesn't matter what it tastes like.

Mallory is really into books and more and more have been gathered in her room. She doesn't have a book shelf so they are just piled on the floor and I decided she needed a real spot for them. So I took her changing pad off of her dresser, we don't use it anymore anyway, (first step to a big girl room I guess!) and was on the hunt for cute bookends. Most of the really cute ones I found online were like $60 and I was not doing that. So Gigi and I went to Home Goods today and found these and I'm kind of obsessed with them.
They are perfect because you know I love my girl in boots :)
And they were only $7 each!! Love Home Goods.

Speaking of boots. Another outfit I was kind of obsessed with today.

And the only thing I purchased out of all of that is the Leggings!! Thanks to Chloe and Sophia and Jenna, Mallory is a little fashionista.

And this is what the little model looks like when she has to come in from having fun outside

And no that's not a plug for the Globetrotters, she just happened to drop down in that spot.

Max is back to surviving on chocolate milk, oreos, and juice and I don't know what is going on but he is getting really skinny. I'm hoping this is a quick phase and trying not to worry about it like I used to. I just don't get it. How do you have so much energy when you don't eat? Here he is going to "work"

And anything you need...he's got it in the back of that bike...old alarm clocks, a few wallets, a few cd cases and scratched dvds, my old watch, some old phones and blackberries, a night light, some chapstick. Maybe he knows about some world disaster to come and he's the only one who will be prepared.

I remember when Max was about to turn two and he wasn't really talking much, we were at a birthday party at a pool (the pool we ended up belonging to the next year) and I was throwing him up in the air and trying to get him to say "up" in between every time I threw him. Well he did it and I was so excited because that was the first time he really used words to request something that he wanted. He had said things before but for some reason, it was like it clicked on that day and I knew that he really got it-that he was supposed to say something to get something he wanted. It was very exciting. Mallory will be 22 months old next week and she is saying more words every day but just like Max, not truly communicating alot yet. So we have this game where I'll sit her on the potty upstairs because she just thinks its fun. She hasn't done anything on it yet but I just put her on there and then she gets off and wants to get back on a few times. Well today I put her on, she got off and then said "up" in her cute little high pitched voice. so I put her back on and she got off again and said "up" again! How funny that their first request was the same word and I didn't even try. Yes, I know that I think about things that non-SLP moms do not think about. It comes with the territory :)

I've been alone almost every night this week because Mark is super busy with work. I didn't even get to go to my Saturday wine tasting at the Quarry because I was with both kids this afternoon and I just wasn't about to attempt that. So I deserved this pretty little drink that I threw together with what I had tonight...

Happy Saturday night!
