Weidel Weidel Weidel I made it out of clay

Happy Hanukkah! I went to a Hanukkah party at Max's school today. He of course started acting out as soon as I got there and I had to leave the party with him so he could walk around the hall demanding random things. The "things" that he likes to carry around on a daily basis total about 20 now and they change often. Today it was a golf ball, some dreidels, Mark's wedding band, some phones, some phone plugs, a few blackberries. I honestly don't know how he keeps track of everything he needs. It can get a little annoying. After gathering everything he wanted, we were able to go back into the party for a few minutes to sing bim bam and have a few munchkins. His teachers told me they had never seen him act that way before. Now they understand why I don't do music classes with him or anything else. He doesn't let me do these things with him! Then he was hysterically crying when I went back to work. I can see how this would be upsetting. He thought he was going home and really I was leaving and he was staying at school for another 4 hours.

We had a good first night of Hanukkah. Here are a few pictures from Mallory's first and Max's third festival of lights :)

It looks like they are holding hands there but really Max was pulling her hand away from his new Elmo book. God forbid Mallory ever get to enjoy anything or play with anything. Max forbids her to in all situations.

And the cutest version of dreidel dreidel dreidel I've ever heard:
