Insults welcome
Am I wearing a sign that says this? I am noticing that people like to tell me things that are not so nice, particularly about my physical appearance. In the past week I have been asked if I'm pregnant 2 times by 2 different people (one was a child and one was an adult). And in the past 5 years, I've probably gotten the question maybe 10 times (when I am not pregnant). I'm completely serious. I recognize that I have spent the majority of the last 3 years being pregnant but right now, I am back to my normal weight and in all of my pre-pregnancy clothes. Most people maybe get this question when they are not pregnant like once in a lifetime but it happens to me all the time! Another similar scenario is the "you look so tired" comment. I get that one all the time. People just point things out to me and I don't get it. Its kind of like "you have a zit" or "you're hair is frizzy". You just don't say those things. First of all because the person who has the flaw is most likely very aware of it and doesn't need to be told about it and second of all its just mean. I would never tell someone they looked tired and I am scared to ask someone if they are pregnant even when they look like they are 9 months pregnant and about to explode. You don't have to tell me I don't look pregnant. I don't think I do. I'm actually pretty confident about how I look. Its more that I think there is something about me that welcomes questions and comments like this. What is it? I feel like Carrie is cracking up right now. Ok vent over :). Why do I feel like I'm about to get 20 facebook comments asking me inappropriate questions?
