I am sorry it has been a week since my last entry. Thank you for reminding me Carrie. I don't have that much to say so I'll just give a Max update. He has been taking lots of steps on his own but I'm not sure if I can really call it walking yet. Everyone keeps telling me it will be any minute but we're still waiting. Its not that I'm worried at all, its just that he weighs 28 pounds and it is so hard to still be carrying him around (yes he really weighs 28 pounds, I weighed him this week). I can't wait until I can just put him down and hold his hand and he can walk by my side. I think he is also frustrated that he isn't walking because he has been so cranky lately and is only happy when he has one of our phones or if hes opening and closing the cabinet doors in the kitchen. Its kind of a problem because our cabinets were made in the 80s and not in great shape to begin with. Now one of them is completely unattached and just leaning on the one next to it because of the abuse it has taken from Max.
He has also become the most picky eater, its so frustrating. I bragged about him eating anything and everything when he was younger. That changed the minute he turned one. Now every night is a struggle. No matter what I make him for dinner he just looks at it and waits for me to give him fruit (he will always eat fruit). He eventually picks up each piece one by one and throws it on the floor, or puts it in his mouth and then spits it out. Obviously he is well nourished (at 28 pounds) but I never thought he would be a picky eater and its upsetting. He gets it from his father. For those of you who don't know, Mark will go to the fanciest restaurant and order either spaghetti and meatballs or chicken and pasta. In a few years we'll all go out to a nice dinner, Mark will order spaghetti, Max will order a fruit bowl, and I'll order the most extravagant thing on the menu . At least they are cheap dates so I won't feel bad getting something expensive.

Kim,
I read your blog all the time. It is fun hearing about Max from someone other than your mother!!! I can't believe I've not seen Max or been able to hold him and give him a big smoocher kiss... one of these days before he gets too big to let me do it. I'll be suprised if he just holds your hand when he starts to walk... I having a feeling you will be chasing after him all the time, so take a deep breath, it will be here before you know it. Take care and keep blogging, I love feeling I know what's happening in your life.
Aunt Sharon :-)
